PALMS TO PINES NATURAL HISTORY TOUR

Living Desert staff members and Harry Quinn, BLM Geologist and Historian, will take you on a fascinating natural history tour from the Palms of Coachella Valley to the Pines of Idyllwild. Along the way, Harry Quinn will entertain and educate us with stories of visiting the area as a youth and the later work he did as an archaeologist. The winding route passes through a series of areas preserved for animal habitat, ranging from desert oasis to snow-capped mountains, and parts of the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument and San Bernardino National Forest. Pack a lunch or purchase one in Idyllwild.
