What to Expect
When visiting the Tennity Wildlife Hospital and Conservation Center there are a number of interesting activities you may experience:
- A guided tour by one of our knowledgeable docents will give you a history of the hospital, while pointing out the different rooms and their functions.
- Annual exams are performed regularly and provide an opportunity to watch and possibly ask questions.
- Animal keepers may be available to chat about the animals and explain the procedures being performed.
- Kiosks are located next to the large animal treatment room and feature videos of recorded exams, animal management and exhibit construction.
- Snake skin, antlers, horns and other animal material give you the chance to get up close and personal.
- Radiographs, posters explaining research projects, and various other small items are scattered throughout the hospital and may catch your attention.
