Choosing a Name:

The name should have relevance and an association with the giraffe's native habitat in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Mom - Dadisi, (Swahili for "She brings joy")

Dad - Hesabu, (Swahili for "Arithmetic")

Brother - Mutombo, (for "NBA Star, Dikembe Mutombo")

Uncle - Pona, (Swahili for "Get well")

If your suggestion is chosen, you and a guest will receive a V.I.P. Behind-the Scenes Tour of The Living Desert Giraffe Exhibit and Barn. You will spend time with the Giraffe Keeper, get up close and personal with the giraffe family, and learn all about this wonderful animal! The winner will also receive a one-year General Membership to The Living Desert, good for two adults and four children!
