Future Developments
2008 heralded the long awaited opening of our Stephen B. Chase Administration Building. The building is absolutely stunning, just as Steve envisioned in its planning stages many years ago. The building’s galleries, which are at last able to display Steve’s Plein-Air art collection, showcase an amazing array of important pieces that reveal the color and wonder of our desert. We now have an administrative gateway into the park that reflects the beauty and professionalism that guests expect to find on our grounds.
We also have much to look forward to in the future. Next year we hope to begin construction on the Discovery Center, funded by a lead gift from Miriam U. Hoover as well as on the William Fries II Foundation Lion Exhibit.
