Oct. 18th - Introduction/ History/ Mission and Purpose
Oct. 20th - What is an Interpretive Docent?
Outline/practice of carts, zones, backpacks

Week 2:

Oct. 25th - Ecology & Reptiles
Oct. 27th - Geology

Week 3:

Nov. 1st - Plants (BBLT) (7:30 AM Bonus Walk)
Nov. 3rd - Visit our gardens

Week 4:

Nov. 8th - Introduction to Interpretation (7:30 AM Bonus Walk)
Nov. 10th - Practice/shadow carts or School Field Trip

Week 5:

Nov. 15th - Practice/shadow carts or School Field Trip
Nov.17th - Interpretation Techniques

Holidays

Nov. 22nd & 24th - Thanksgiving - Happy Turkey Day!

Week 6:

Nov. 29th - Mammals/Endangered Species (7:30 AM Bonus Walk)
Dec. 1st - Visit mammals on grounds

Week 7:

Dec. 6th - Zoo Class/COG/Guest Relations (7:30 AM Bonus Walk)
Dec. 8th - Cahuilla Program

Week 8:

Dec. 13th - Introduction to Zoo Zones - Zone 1
Dec. 15th - Zoo Zones - Zone 2 (7:30 AM Bonus Walk)

Holidays

Dec. 20th & 22nd - No class - Enjoy the holidays
Dec. 27th & 29th - Study notes; prepare Interpretive Project
