Docent Application

As a Docent you must commit to volunteer two full seasons in School Programs after graduation. Your commitment will be in an interpretive capacity on grounds, for a minimum of 3½ hrs per week, including one weekday morning education class at 8:30am in the Education Center. If you cannot make this commitment, please consider becoming a General Volunteer.

As a Docent of The Living Desert, you agree to:

  • Maintain a Living Desert Membership
  • Work at least 2 seasons after graduation with School Programs
  • Purchase a docent shirt
  • Complete Docent Traing Program
  • Attend weekly AM Ed. Class for a minimum of 2 years
